A few Quick Facts about the:
The Xtreme Steam can cook 48lbs. of frozen peas in 17 minutes and 48lbs of red potatoes in 20.5 minutes. It was the fastest countertop steamer tested by PG&E.
There seems to be a perception that if a steamer is only using a few gallons of water all day it must be reusing the water and transferring the flavor from one food item to another. That is not the case at all. It only takes a small amount of water to create a lot of steam. Connectionless steamers do not transfer flavor any more than conventional, plumbed steamers. There are over 25,000 connectionless steamer owners and not one complaint of flavor transfer.
The Xtreme Steam senses when the food can no longer accept heat and begins to cycle on and off, adding just as much steam heat as the food can take. Conventional steamers are full speed ahead using 30 -40 gallons of water an hour and the heater stays on constantly. If you look at the PG&E full load potato test results you will see that the Xtreme Steam cooked 48 lbs of potatoes faster than the Cleveland Ultra 3 cooked 24 lbs, and it used almost 60% less electricity and 1/40 as much water.
